Welcome
to Bill Wrobel's Film Score Rundowns, a cue by cue
analysis of the greatest film, radio and television works
that the 20th Century has to offer. This site encourages musical
learning and, in each and every Rundown, takes the
unusual route of employing a purely proffessional prose for
describing and detailing the titles presented here (disregarding
the brand new "general review" section). Just keep
in mind that The Rundowns are not regular reviews.
They're not really even reviews at all. This site is unlike
Soundtrack.net or
Filmtracks.com in
that it caters specifically to those already in the music
field or with the knowledge: upcoming arrangers, teachers,
orchestrators and—yes—composers.
As of lately, Film Score Rundowns has experienced
a major face lift. The layout has changed, as has most of
everything else. You can still find everything that was here
before except with some new material added around the corners
as well. Over the course of the next few weeks there will
be general score reviews added in addition to a brand new
blog section by Bill Wrobel. As to the Rundowns themselves:
I'm playing around with the idea of converting them all into
html format for this webpage so Adobe Acrobat isn't required.
If you preferred the Adobe PDF format, that's fine, it will
still available here for you and is currently the default
anyway. I'm just thinking about putting a little more variety
out there for you. (J.R. Flynn, Designer, 11/24/2004)
